Mr. Barone is the President of Ancora’s FINRA registered broker dealer, Ancora Securities.

During his career in the Investment Industry, Mr. Barone has held leadership positions in broker dealer supervision, systems management, and investment advisor operations. As Vice President of the Maxus Investment Group, Mr. Barone’s primary duty was to align the organization’s information systems and back office operations with those of key business partners. In the 1990s, under his direction, Maxus developed expert portfolio accounting and invoicing systems; proprietary and customizable reporting solutions for customers, and a first class computing infrastructure to serve the technology needs of the company and its affiliates.

In 1997 he combined the core operations and technology platforms of Gelfand Partners and Maxus Asset Management. By the end of the decade, he had introduced on-line software and products to serve the informational needs of the company's money managers, relationship advisors, and their customers.

Mr. Barone and his team at Ancora Securities effectively serve the operational, trading, and clearing needs of Ancora Advisors as well as the needs of other prominent institutional customers. With a focus on personalized service, Mr. Barone emphasizes the use of technology, the effectiveness of his client support team, and a strong alignment with its clearing firm, Pershing LLC, a division of Bank of New York Mellon Corporation.

Mr. Barone is a 1989 Honors Graduate of Boston University in with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Economics. He holds several NASD licenses and in addition to managing his team, he continues to serve in the broker dealer’s regulatory oversight capacity.
